what is Brain-Spotting?

Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach, designed to help individuals process and release trauma and emotional pain. It is based on the idea that where we look can influence how we feel and process emotions. The technique involves identifying "brainspots" specific eye positions that correlate with areas of distress, emotional charge, or trauma stored in the brain and body.

what is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences.

EMDR therapy involves eight distinct phases and draws upon elements of cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, and bilateral stimulation techniques. Bilateral stimulation is achieved through eye movements, sounds, or physical tapping; playing a central role in EMDR. This stimulation activates the brain's innate healing mechanisms, facilitating the reprocessing of troubling memories and emotions in a secure and controlled therapeutic setting.
